About Us

In the early nineties, Rachel opened Oyster Bay Manor (OBM), a high-quality care, homey Assisted Living Facility on the North Shore of Long Island. OBM was the first facility of its kind to have nursing care on staff. She designed Harbor House, the first specialized memory care facility on the east coast. As President and Operator of Oyster Bay Senior Campus for the past 30 years, Rachel also operates an LHCSA called Brookville Home Care. Rachel’s facilities have received numerous awards and honors for their exemplary care and her sterling reputation keeps her in excellent standing with the NYS Department Of Health.

Rachel’s passion for innovation and the good of humanity didn’t stop there. Always up to date with the health-care market, Rachel surmised that the dangerous spread of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) was being facilitated by footwear. This led her to invent FlooRX, the patented sanitizing footwear device, designed to prevent the spread of these infections. Outside of work-life, Rachel spends most of her time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Rachel’s warm and caring disposition is apparent to everyone who meets her.

Tani Sussman serves as the company’s President, oversees planning, strategic initiatives including operations and marketing. Tani is laser focused on providing all clients with a best in class caregiver experience. Tani attended Baruch College of the City University of New York, where he obtained a BA in Operations Management , in 2000.

Prior to joining the team, Tani worked in retail business services, where he launched, owned and operated a leading business services company in Wall St, with best in class customer service.

Tani and his wife live in Valley Stream, Long Island with their five kids.

James joined us in 2014, bringing a wealth of experience in care management. He is personally invested in all his clients and their families, overseeing day-to-day operations including scheduling, recruitment, follow-up visits and business development.

Jennifer has been a nurse on Long Island for over 10 years. She has a wealth of clinical expertise she brings with her to Brookville Home Care. She has worked at South Shore University Hospital providing ICU level care to critically ill cardiac patients. She has also worked for Stonybrook Cardiology in their outpatient practices for the last 5 years, as a triage RN. Jennifer enjoys the changing seasons of Long Island and its many beaches. She is also a great lover of pets and currently has 3 rescues.
